He serves as Infrastructure Executive at Atlantis Greentech SEZ, previously CEO of MCA Urban and Environmental Planners, focusing on green urban infrastructure policy and development. Passionate about sustainability, he has worked on diverse international and local projects.

Waheeda Saib, a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience, began her career with the Big Four before joining the Auditor-General of South Africa. She specializes in risk assessment, internal control evaluation, financial and asset management under IFRS and GRAP, and compliance assessments including PFMA, MFMA, and Supply Chain Management. Waheeda’s expertise spans both public and private sectors, with a focus on enhancing financial reporting and legislative compliance.

Jarrod graduated with an MSc from the University of Cape Town and became an Industrial Symbiosis practitioner for the Western Cape Industrial Symbiosis Programme at GreenCape. He has contributed to creating an investment-friendly ecosystem in the Western Cape and South Africa, enhancing their value proposition for green economy investments. His industry exposure has made him an expert in green technology, understanding various technologies, their impacts, and the business cases for successful global deployment.

Jarrod Lyons

Selwyn, previously with WWF and the Economic Development Partnership, joins ASEZ with a rich background in conservation, socio-economic projects, and partnership fortification. His leadership roles at the South African National Biodiversity Institute and CapeNature highlight his expertise in information management. With extensive consulting experience, Selwyn excels in team unification and data-driven decision-making, advocating for well-curated data to shape our future.

Joyce Modipa, a civil engineer and registered Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM), has 19 years of experience in public-funded projects. With a Master’s in Development Finance, she excels in program and project management across various sectors. As Programme Manager for ASIDI, she led infrastructure delivery. Joyce is skilled in analytical problem-solving and managing multi-disciplinary teams, recognized for her excellence in sustainable infrastructure planning and development finance.

Asanda Vos is the Commercial Executive at the Atlantis Special Economic Zone for Green Technologies, With over a decade of experience in commercial management and negotiations, Asanda previously served as Senior Manager for Commercial Negotiations and Deal Structuring at Transnet National Ports Authority and held various roles at Coega Development Corporation, including Commercial Manager and Commercial Analyst. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of London and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics Business Science from the University of Fort Hare. He has also undertaken leadership training interventions that enables him to lead multi-disciplinary and diverse teams.
